LESSONS FROM A TODDLER

  • My youngest child is a toddler, almost 3 yrs old.  So far, for her entire short little life, she doesn't see anything above her eyebrows when she is in a hurry.  She is continuously running into things.  For those of you who have raised children, you know exactly what I'm talking about.  She gets herself in such a hurry to get somewhere or get something done, that she forgets to look up.  What I've learned from this, is that no matter how busy you are and no matter how fast you feel that you need to do something, give yourself a moment to look Up.  It is during times like this that we need to look up towards God and ask Him to help direct us and ask ourselves and Him if what we are in such a rush to do, is it his Will for us?

  • You are the model for your children. Be careful what you say and do. Chances are, they are watching. They are learning from you.

  • No matter how invincible you think you are, there is always something out there that has the ability to intimidate you.  My daughter is 2 feet tall and a 12 inch stuffed gorilla doll scares the life out of her.

  • She trusts that family and people she trusts are there to help her when she gets into a tough spot
